The Maltzan-designed Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project is nearing completion; the $588 million iconic bridge will connect Boyle Heights to downtown. In March 2021, the Winnipeg Art Gallery Inuit Art Centre designed by the firm, opened its doors to much fanfare. Maltzan’s other notable projects include the downtown Los Angeles Star Apartments, the Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University and MIT Vassar Street Residential Hall. Maltzan holds degrees in architecture and fine arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master of architecture degree from Harvard University. He is a recipient of the American Academy of Arts and Letters Architecture Award.
