Construction contractor Bernards recently completed the $257 million Mark Ridley-Thomas Behavioral Health Center in Willowbrook and wrapped up work on the Hilda L. Solis Care First Village housing project for the homeless, which won the 2021 ENR California Best Residential/Hospitality Project Award of Merit. Bernards also completed construction on the $267 million Ivy Station mixed-use project in Culver City. Jeff Bernards has served in many leadership roles over the years but most recently served as the firm’s chief executive, leading Bernards’ transition from private ownership to an employee-owned firm. He will retire at the end of the year.
