In January, MVE Partners cut the ribbon on Dixon Place in Salt Lake City, a 59-unit, mixed-use building that is now 100% leased. The firm is completing construction at 9200 Wilshire Blvd., which has been branded Mandarin Oriental Residences. The units are expected to start at $3.6 million each. McLarand founded architecture firm MVE in 1974. The firm’s notable designs in Southern California include the Water Garden in Santa Monica and the Metro headquarters building in downtown. A USC graduate, McLarand holds professional affiliations with the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute and National Association of Home Builders.
