Chief Executive, Rand Corp.

RAND Corp. is a nonprofit, nonparTisan research organization that helps improve policy and decision making through research and analysis. It also operates the foremost PhD program in the field of public policy. Since becoming CEO and president in 2011, Rich has focused on extending the impact of Rand’s work, challenging the organization to broaden its legacy of innovation. He joined Rand as an intern in 1975. Rich sits on the boards of several public policy and service organizations, including the Council for Aid to Education, the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, and Wise and Healthy Aging. Rich has a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and a JD from UCLA.
