Saylor Keeps Up Growth Trajectory

Echo Park-based Saylor adds a new head of creative along with a new team as part of its continuing growth spurt.

Advertising agency Saylor is keeping up its rapid expansion with the hiring of a new creative head and naming of a team of creative directors to report to her.

The Echo Park-based agency brought in Nicole Stetter as head of creative, as well as the two of the new directors – Doriean Stevenson and Dominique Vitali. Michael Meehan, who joined the company a year ago, is newly assigned to Stetter’s team.

Saylor founder Will Trowbridge hailed Stetter’s hiring as a major win for the firm’s focus in entertainment advertising and marketing. She previously worked at the similarly focused Little Dot Studios.

“Nicole comes from an entertainment background,” added Trowbridge, who is Saylor’s chief executive. “It speaks to our continued investment in the entertainment marketing space and making sure our leaders at the very top come from that background and speak that language.”

Stetter, Stevenson and Meehan are based here, while Vitali is based in New York. Saylor also employs people in Texas and Georgia.

Branching off and growing

Trowbridge founded Saylor in 2021, with the goal of combining what he liked from prior jobs to use entertainment production as a medium, based on the “sea change” of audience behavior and media consumption.

“That is a big part of our positioning and ethos,” Trowbridge said, “that we believe in 2025, everyone’s algorithms are personalized and there’s more content than ever that you have to provide value to your audience as fans.”

Starting with just seven employees, Saylor now has 79. So far this year, year-over-year employee growth is 135%, while revenue is up 148%, the company said.

L.A. being a natural spot for a creative agency is looking more interesting, Trowbridge added, with the Super Bowl, World Cup and Olympics nigh.

“All I want to do is work with those events,” he added. “I feel like Saylor would be a wonderful partner in that. It’s definitely an exciting time for L.A.”
