Stanley Gold, the former chief executive of Shamrock Holdings, has rejoined the law firm Gang Tyre Ramer & Brown as of counsel, effective Tuesday.

Gold served as managing partner at the firm until 1985, when he left to head Shamrock, an investment company funded by Roy Disney. Gold also served on the board at Burbank-based Walt Disney Co. from 1984 until 2003, when he and Disney resigned to launch a campaign that led to the ouster of Disney Chief Executive Michael Eisner.

Roy Disney died in December.

While Gold will continue to work with Shamrock Holdings, his practice at Gang Tyre will focus on corporate financing and acquisitions in the entertainment sector.

“Stan is a first-class lawyer and first-class person who fully knows and appreciates the history, the culture and the traditions of Gang Tyre,” said partner Bruce Ramer. “We welcome him home.”

Gang Tyre is a Beverly Hills firm that specializes in entertainment law and represents many actors, directors, writers, producers and recording artists.
