Great American Group Inc. announced that it will manage store closings at nine additional Orchard Supply Hardware locations, including three in the greater San Fernando Valley.

The Woodland Hills liquidation company announced last month that it would sell the inventory at eight OSH store closings. All the closings among the original eight and the new nine are located in California.

The closings in the Valley region are in Burbank, Canoga Park and Santa Clarita. The remaining stores are in El Cerrito, Lodi, Merced, Santa Ana, Torrance and Yuba City.

“Discounts are being offered on every item in every department, providing consumers with great deals,” said Scott Carpenter, president of Great American Group’s Retail division, in a statement.

The closings stem from the acquisition of OSH by home improvement chain Lowe’s Co. Inc. The company paid $205 million to buy OSH out of bankruptcy. Lowe’s plans to continue to operate some OSH stores.

Shares of Great American closed unchanged at 30 cents in trading on the over-the-counter market.
