Rosemead-based Panda Restaurant Group has made its latest investment in a dining startup.

The Panda Express parent company took an undisclosed stake in Urbane Café, a 12-unit healthy sandwich and salad chain based in Ventura, Urbane announced this week.

Panda Restaurant Group, which was No. 13 on the Business Journal’s list of largest private companies last year with an estimated 2015 revenue of $2.35 billion, has also invested in a handful of other concepts, including Rancho Santa Margarita’s Pieology Pizzeria and New York’s Just Salad.

Urbane Café was founded in 2003 by Chief Executive Tom Holt and has locations in Central and Southern California.
