The Culver City-based company, co-founded by Kim Kardashian West, is promoting the Fendi x Skims collection in the 1,205-square-foot space through the end of the month.
In addition to showcasing branded shapewear, hosiery, ready-to-wear clothing, beachwear and accessories, the boutique features a digital photo room “where guests can experience the capsule campaign through digital screens in an infinity-room-like setting” and “create a short video to share out on social channels,” according to Skims.
In a video posted to Skims’ Instagram feed, designer Kim Jones said the idea for the collaboration came when he joined Fendi and noticed that all the women on his team were Skims fans and followed closely when each collection would drop. Kardashian West said she was honored to get a call from Jones and added that working together “made sense” for the two brands.
Skims raised $154 million in funding from Thrive Capital, Imaginary Ventures and Alliance Consumer Growth in April. The deal valued the company at about $1.6 billion, according to news reports. Skims said it planned to use the funds to expand.
