Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. has added two new high-level executives in Los Angeles.
The brokerage recently named James Malone and Michael Freiberg as executive vice presidents in its local offices.
Xavier Nolasco also joined the firm as a vice president in Orange County.
Malone will be based in JLL’s downtown location, where he will focus on working with tenant representation and agency leasing brokers.
It isn’t Malone’s first time at JLL. He worked at the company from 2003 to 2013. During that time, he served as a senior vice president and national director.
He was previously vice president of leasing at Brookfield Properties and a leasing manager at Catellus Development Corp.
Most recently, Malone served as executive managing director at Colliers International Group Inc., overseeing seven offices. He was based at Colliers’ downtown location.
Malone graduated from UCLA, where he played football as a defensive back. He was drafted into the National Football League by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1992.
Malone, who also graduated from Loyola Law School, began his career as an attorney at Haight Brown & Bonesteel.
Freiberg will be based in JLL’s Century City office and focus on tenant representation.
He was previously a senior managing director at Newmark Knight Frank where he specialized in office tenant representation on the Westside. Before that he was an executive vice president with Cresa and a vice president at First Property.
Frieberg has been in commercial real estate for 30 years.
Nolasco was most recently a senior associate at CBRE Group Inc. where had completed more than 250 industrial leases and sales.
“JLL continues to work to identify and hire key personnel that can add value to our clients in the short term and the long term,” Peter Belisle, JLL Southwest market director, said in a statement. “This trio will fit perfectly into the company’s culture while providing exemplary service to our clients and helping us to grow.”
