Decron Scores New Tenants

Two tenants recently signed leases totaling over 20,000 square feet at Decron Properties’ corporate headquarters in Mid-Wilshire, which now brings the 87,000-square-foot building’s total leased occupancy rate to 92%.

The Class A building at 6222 Wilshire Blvd. recently underwent renovations.

“Decron Properties made a multimillion-dollar investment in the building’s common areas, including a major renovation of the main lobby with new contemporary finishes,” Michael Geller, a managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. who represented Decron in both transactions, said in a statement. “Tenants are reacting positively.”

The two new tenants – the Federative Republic of Brazil and Hanger Clinic – each signed long-term leases with Decron.

Brazil’s Consulate General in Los Angeles will occupy the 16,000-plus-square-foot penthouse of the six-story building.

Hanger Clinic, a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic care, signed an eight-year lease for a 4,000-square-foot space on the building’s third floor. Hanger Clinic’s newly renovated space features open ceilings and a private balcony.

“Signing multiple tenants to long term leases is extremely rare, especially at a time when office buildings are struggling to maintain occupancy,” David Nagel, chief executive of Decron, said in a statement.

“Having multiple long-term tenants provides the type of stability that all property owners desire and is a testament to our building’s prime location,” Nagel added.

The building is near the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
