Digital Delivery: Evolve Media Corp., a Baldwin Hills digital media company, has acquired BabyandBump.com, a Liverpool, U.K.-based website for expectant mothers. BabyandBump will be folded into Evolve’s Momtastic.com site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Retail Launch: Brigade LA, a high-fashion boutique, is scheduled to open its doors in downtown Los Angeles on Nov. 11. The fashion and accessories shop, featuring premium denim jeans, will be at 510 W. Seventh St.

SILVER LAKE

New Restaurant: Owner Michael Everest has opened Naya Restaurant and Lounge in Silver Lake. The new restaurant, at 3705 W. Sunset Blvd., was designed by Kristofer Keith of Hollywood-based design firm Spacecraft Group, which has handled several recent restaurant projects in Los Angeles.

SANTA MONICA

Funding Round: Pose, a Santa Monica maker of a mobile app that lets users share fashion, shopping and style tips with their social networks, has raised $3 million in Series A funding. Investors included GRP Partners, a Century City venture capital firm. Pose’s app lets users “pose” and take pictures of products or shops, for example, and then post them to their social networks.

GLENDALE

Apartment Puchase: Acacia Capital Corp. has purchased a Glendale apartment building for $19 million from Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association of America. The 77-unit, Class B property, at 1151-1161 Sonora Ave., was built in 1984 and renovated in 2006-07.

LANCASTER

Trauma Center: The trauma center at Lancaster’s Antelope Valley Hospital, a 420-bed facility, has been verified as a Level II Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, a Chicago-based educational association. A trauma center is verified on the association’s standards of capability and performance. The actual establishment and the designation of trauma centers is the function of local, regional or state health care systems agencies, such as the local emergency medical services authority.

VALENCIA

Game On: Big Wang’s, a Hollywood-based sports bar-eatery chain, has signed a deal to open a Valencia location, which will be the company’s fourth. The new outpost will be at Westridge Village, 26850 Old Road, a shopping center owned by Regency Centers, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based real estate services company. The Valencia Big Wang’s is scheduled to open in January.

SANTA CLARITA

Revved Up: Auto dealership Galpin Subaru has opened in Santa Clarita, taking the place of shuttered Galpin Saturn. The new dealership, at 23645 Creekside Road, is part of Galpin Motors Inc. and is overseen by General Manager Joe Ferezy.
