GLENDALE

Phased In: Glendale Adventist Medical Center has completed the second phase of a $220 million expansion project. The hospital has finished building 30,000 square feet of its new west tower, which will be used for a range of hospital services. The phase also included a shell build-out for 11,000 square feet of space that will be used for yet-to-be-determined ancillary services and a pedestrian area that connects the east and west towers. The third and final phase will add 35,000 square feet of space and 60 beds, and is scheduled to be completed in mid-November.

SAN DIMAS

Making List: California Regional Multiple Listing Service Inc., a San Dimas real estate service, has merged with Southern California Multiple Listing Service, an Anaheim real estate service. The combined entity, based in San Dimas and known as California Regional Multiple Listing Service, will provide products and services to 33 Realtor associations and their 68,000 customers in California.

MONROVIA

Taking Off: AeroVironment Inc., a Monrovia maker of unmanned aircraft, has received a $65 million contract to deliver Puma drones to the U.S. Special Operations Command. The 13-pound, battery-operated Puma is used for reconnaissance missions in war zones.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Firm Combination: Chan Law Group LLP, a downtown L.A. law firm that specializes in intellectual property and business cases, is joining the L.A. operations of Fox Rothschild LLP, a Philadelphia-based firm. Chan Law’s Thomas T. Chan will join Fox as a partner along with Counsel Lisa A. Karczewski and Associate Steven S. Hanagami. The three will work in Fox’s Century City and downtown offices.

On the Menu: Owner George Efstathiou has opened the Marketplace Grill & Café in Downey. The 3,300-square-foot casual bistro and coffee shop at 7877 Florence Ave. features a drive-through.

LANCASTER

Busy Boulevard: A three-screen Laemmle Theatres cinema and retail clothing store have opened in Lancaster; both projects were developed by Scott Ehrlich. The Laemmle BLVD Theater and Forge shop share the building at 742 W. Lancaster Boulevard.

CENTURY CITY

Legal Deal: CompuLaw LLC, a legal services firm, has been acquired by Atlanta competitor Aderant. Aderant, which is a portfolio firm of San Francisco’s Vista Equity Partners LLC, did not disclose terms of the deal, which includes CompuLaw’s Deadlines.com subsidiary.
