Branched Out: Glendale’s California Credit Union has launched California Members Title Insurance Co., an independent company. The brokerage, at 701 N. Brand Blvd., will serve credit unions, mortgage bankers and institutional lenders.

Industrial Pickup: A Chatsworth manufacturing facility that served as the headquarters of the Tamrac company for the past 25 years has been sold to Westlake Village’s Selleck Development Group for $5.2 million. The 55,000-square-foot, two-story building, at 9240-9244 Jordan Ave., was sold by Ryan and Jesslyn Cyr, who co-founded the maker of camera cases in 1977. The Cyrs sold their business to Ogden, Utah’s Gura Gear, which will continue to make Tamrac cases but had no interest in the Chatsworth property.

New Clinic: Topanga West, the operator of an assisted-living facility in Canoga Park for handicapped and mentally disabled adults, has opened a mental health clinic in Northridge. The ACT Health and Wellness Outpatient Clinic, at 9003 Reseda Blvd., will offer doctor visits, crisis intervention and housing support, among other services. Topanga West provides in-patient services while the ACT clinic operates on an outpatient basis.

Apartments Acquisition: A group of investors led by West L.A.’s Benedict Canyon Equities has acquired a Reseda multifamily property for $21.5 million from downtown L.A.’s Carmel Partners. The 75,803-square-foot multifamily community, at 18641 Saticoy St., consists of two- and three-bedroom homes across seven two-story buildings. The property was 94 percent occupied at the time of sale.

Connected: Kaleo, an El Segundo maker of business software, has raised $7 million in an equity round led by Toronto’s Omers Ventures, with participation from Saturn Partners in Boston and downtown L.A.’s Greycroft Partners, among others. Kaleo’s program lets companies’ employees pose commonly asked questions on a platform for colleagues to answer, which are saved by the software. Training, compliance and human resources programs and documents can also be stored on the platform.

New Stage: DigiTour Media, a Culver City company that runs events and concerts featuring YouTube, Vine, Snapchat and Instagram stars, has raised $10 million in an equity round led by New York’s Viacom Inc. DigiTour is looking to leverage Viacom’s TV, film and digital content to aid its growth.
Loaded Up: Culver City’s Clutter, whose app provides self-storage services, has raised $9 million in an equity round from Menlo Park’s Sequoia Ventures. The app allows customers to have their things packed, picked up and put into self-storage by the company’s movers and packers. Clutter doesn’t have its own storage space but sublets space in industrial warehouses.
