Triple Play: Tutor Perini Corp., a Sylmar-based general contractor, has won three projects in the U.S. territory of Guam that total $77 million. The three engineering and construction contracts were awarded to Tutor Perini’s Guam subsidiary, Black Construction Corp. Work includes, a sewer improvement, upgrades to the living areas on a naval base and architectural work and construction finishes on retail spaces at Guam International Airport.

CALABASAS
New Home: Unico American Corp., a Woodland Hills property and casualty insurer, has purchased a two-story office building in Calabasas with plans to make it the company’s headquarters. Unico paid $9.5 million for the 46,884-square-foot office building within the Calabasas Commerce Center. The 26050 Mureau Road property is fully leased, with Swiss reinsurer Swiss Re occupying more than 36,000 square feet. Unico has not announced a move-in date.
VALLEY VILLAGE
New HQ: Intellectual Property Rights Distribution Fund, a non-profit in Studio City that collects and distributes royalties for actors and musicians, has acquired the Laurel Park Office Plaza from Bershin Properties I for $9.68 million. The fund plans to move slowly into the 38,000-square-foot building, at 4705 Laurel Canyon Blvd., as leases expire.

Residential Acquisition: Hacienda Heights’ Vecino Vista has purchased a Mission Hills multifamily complex for $5.38 million from Interstate Equities Corp. in Los Altos. The 31,802-square-foot, two-story apartment building, at 9949-9969 Sepulveda Blvd., was built in 1979.

New Outpost: Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies, a family-owned and -operated chain in Torrance, has chosen Lakewood for the company’s 14th store. Centinela, which specializes in holistic, raw and natural pet food, will open the store at 4243 Woodruff Ave.
EL SEGUNDO
Overseas Facility: NanoH2O Inc., an El Segundo maker of reverse osmosis membranes for seawater desalination, has announced plans to build a manufacturing facility in Liyang, China. The 33,000-square-foot facility will be the company’s second manufacturing plant, after its L.A.-area facility. NanoH2O plans to invest $45 million to create the China plant, scheduled to be operational by the end of next year.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES
Canadian Contract: Aecom Technology Corp., a downtown L.A.-based engineering and technical services company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Wataynikaneyap Power to help build a transmission line project in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Wataynikaneyap is a power company incorporated by First Nations Indian tribes to carry out the project. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
