Moved In: FabCom, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based marketing and advertising agency, has opened an office in downtown Los Angeles. The new outpost, at 515 S. Flower St., will be headed up by Erin Mulhern. FabCom also has an office in Oahu, Hawaii.
HOLLYWOOD
Residential Acquisition: Avondale Hollywood LLC has purchased a Hollywood apartment complex for about $6 million from Peter Larsen. The Avondale apartment complex, at 1825 N. Cahuenga Blvd., was built in 1925, and has 44 studios and 15 one-bedroom apartments. It was fully occupied at the time of sale.

PASADENA
On the Roads: Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., a Pasadena engineering services company, and its European joint venture Eurovia Group have received a transportation contract from the city of London. The contract, which began last month, calls for maintenance and improvement services on road networks in northeast London. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fund Injection: Arrowhead Research Corp., a Pasadena targeted therapeutics company, has priced a private stock offering with proceeds expected to exceed $36 million. About 14.3 million shares of common stock and 9,900 shares of series B convertible preferred stock are expected to be issued.
New Office: SCS Engineers, a Long Beach-based environmental engineering and construction firm, has opened an office in Pasadena. Michelle Leonard, vice president and director of sustainable materials management, will work out of the new satellite office, at 438 S. Marengo Ave.
GLENDALE
Industrial Purchase: Rexford Industrial, a Westwood industrial real estate investment firm, has purchased a Glendale industrial complex for $56.2 million from an undisclosed institutional owner. The seven-building complex, at 3332-3424 N. San Fernando Road and 3550 Tyrburn St., spans 21 acres and is 100 percent leased by 27 tenants.

SHERMAN OAKS
Fuller Plate: Silvercrest Advertising, a Sherman Oaks ad firm, has been named agency of record for Johnny Rockets, an Aliso Viejo-based hamburger chain. Silvercrest had previously worked with the company on media planning and buying.

PALMDALE
Heating Up: Palmdale is set to sell the rights to build a proposed solar power plant for $27.4 million to Summit Power Group LLC, a Seattle-based energy company. The proposed Palmdale Hybrid Power Plant was given the green light by the California Energy Commission in 2011. Palmdale, which approved the project in 2005, spent $18 million in 2007 to purchase land from Lockheed Martin Corp. for the project site.
