David Fisher is chairman emeritus of Capital Group International Inc. He has 50 years of investment experience and has been with Capital Group for 46 years. Earlier in his career at the firm, Fisher was an equity investment analyst covering media, consumer electronics, and electrical equipment companies as well as director of research. Before joining Capital, he was an officer at Smith Barney & Co. and a marketing executive with General Electric Co. Fisher holds an MBA from the University of Missouri Graduate School of Business Administration, and a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley. He serves as a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts and the International Society of Security Analysts. Fisher also serves as an advisory board member of the International Monetary Fund Retirement Plan.
