David Bohnett is a philanthropist and technology entrepreneur who founded Baroda. He is serving as chairman of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and David Bohnett Foundation; vice chair of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association; and a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, amfAR, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and USC. In 1994, he founded Geocities, a media company that was once ranked one of the four most trafficked sites on the Web. Geocities became publicly traded on the Nasdaq and was acquired by Yahoo. Bohnett started his career with Accenture in Los Angeles. He earned an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan and a BS in business administration from USC.
Industry specialization: Baroda is focused on pre-seed and seed stage investments in the consumer internet, e-commerce, mobile, SaaS, and digital media industries, with a particular interest in L.A. companies.
