Mike Dubin
Chief Executive, Dollar Shave Club
Like many good ideas, Dollar Shave Club was born out of frustration. Co-founders Mike Dubin and Mark Levine started discussing their mutual frustration in buying razors – high prices, shave technology “breakthroughs” that nobody actually needed, painful shaves with a dull old blade, and the plastic razor fortress in every store. To fix this, they created a club that delivers razors right to customers. Dollar Shave Club was born in 2011 in Dubin’s living room and last year was sold to Unilever in a $1 billion transaction. Dubin previously worked in television news, digital media, and marketing.
