Frank O. Gehry
Architect, Gehry Partners
Canadian-born architect Frank O. Gehry grew up in Los Angeles and studied architecture at USC, then city planning at Harvard University. He became world-renowned for his creative and iconic home designs, which often use metals and other unusual materials and frequently appear more sculptural than structural. He established his practice in 1962 in Los Angeles, then founded Gehry Partners in 2001. He and his company have handled academic, commercial, museum, performance, and residential projects around the world. Gehry Partners employs a large number of senior architects who have extensive experience in the technical development of building systems and construction documents, and who are highly qualified in the management of complex projects. Every project undertaken by Gehry Partners is designed personally and directly by Gehry.
