Warner Music Group Corp. has agreed to put videos from its artists on Joost.com for free in an ad-revenue sharing agreement.
Some of the channels on Joost, a Luxemburg-based non-user generated Internet TV provider, will be devoted entirely to a single Warner artist while other channels will be broken down by genre or by specific Warner labels, like Atlantic and Rhino.
New York-based Warner, which has offices in Burbank, has similar ad revenue sharing agreements with Cambridge, Mass.-based Internet TV provider Brightcove Inc. and Google Inc.’s YouTube.com.
Earlier this year, MTV, Comedy Central and BET, owned by Viacom Inc., cut a similar deal with Joost.com.
