Verizon Communications said on Sunday it would look at selling or spinning off its domestic directories publishing unit as it focuses on its wireless, high-speed data and corporate customers.
Verizon, which is buying long-distance phone firm MCI Inc. for $8.6 billion, said it would seek a deal to benefit shareholders, improve financial flexibility and reduce debt.
