Tyco International Ltd. said Tuesday its fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 29 percent, but revenue fell short of expectations and the company issued guidance below Wall Street targets for the fourth quarter and full year.
The company reported net income of $1.2 billion (56 cents per share), compared with $923 million (43 cents) a year earlier. Revenue grew 3 percent to $10.6 billion from $10.2 billion last year. The results topped analysts’ expectations for profit of 49 cents per share, but revenue fell short of the $10.7 billion estimate.
