Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. said Thursday that it has signed a licensing agreement with Tokyo-based Panasonic Corp.

The agreement allows Panasonic to continue incorporating TV Guide’s interactive G-Guide program guide into Panasonic’s digital television and digital video recording devices.

The G-Guide has no subscription fee or phone connection. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Shares in Gemstar were up 12 cents to $3.42 in early trading Thursday.
