Stender Sweeney is an executive vice president and division manager for middle-market banking in Wells Fargo’s office in downtown Los Angeles. His 145-person team provides financial services to middle- market and mid-corporate businesses in the Greater Los Angeles area. Sweeney also manages the specialty teams focused on businesses in entertainment, defense, aerospace and technology services. He joined Wells Fargo from Wachovia Bank, where he was a director of the Western Banking group. He spent nine years with Union Bank and worked with J.P. Morgan’s institutional investment management team in New York. He is on the boards of the Friends of Expo Center, the California Art Club and the Marshall School of Business at USC.
