Expansion Move: Caldera Medical Inc., an Agoura Hills maker of medical devices for women, has moved its corporate headquarters to a larger facility in the same city, at 5171 Clareton Drive.

WOODLAND HILLS

Healthy Contract: Health Net Federal Services LLC, a subsidiary of Woodland Hills-based Health Net Inc., was awarded a contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide outpatient recovery audit services for the VA’s Chief Business Office. The subsidiary will provide audits of department payments made for programs specializing in outpatient care, civilian care, spina bifida and children of women Vietnam veterans.

WESTWOOD

Plugged In: Cobridge Communications, an affiliate company of Westwood private equity investment firm Gores Group, has acquired several Charter Communications cable systems, mostly in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. Cobridge operates cable TV, high-speed Internet, telephone and other communications services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

WEST HOLLYWOOD

Filling Tank: Activate, a West Hollywood performance beverage and bottled water company, has raised more than $6 million in financing and secured equity commitments for an additional $15 million. The financing round was led by Tata Global Beverages Ltd. of Kolkata, India.

Dialed In: J2 Global Communications, a Hollywood-based Internet communications company, has acquired Ireland’s largest provider of cloud-based online backup services, Dublin’s KeepITSafe Data Solutions Ltd. J2 provides online fax, voice and e-mail services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Digging In: Integreon, a Century City-based company that outsources legal and business services, has opened an e-evidence lab at its downtown Los Angeles office. The facility, at 550 S. Hope St., will be used to handle digital evidence for regulatory investigations and litigation matters.

Signed On: Iconic Labs LLC, a downtown L.A. beauty products company, has formed a partnership with JT Brands Inc. in Long Beach to develop and market Beverly Hills Skincare, a line of beauty products. The city of Beverly Hills has given the companies permission to use the city’s logo in all advertising, marketing and product packaging.
