Sticking With It: Precision Dynamics Corp., a San Fernando maker of medical wrist bands and labels, has received a three-year contract to be the sole provider of medical labels to Novation, an Irving, Texas, medical industry supply company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Healthy Boost: Northeast Valley Health Corp., a San Fernando-based operator of community health centers, has received $371,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services and the federal government to buy medical equipment for three San Fernando Valley school-based clinics. The clinics are on the campuses of Maclay Middle School in Pacoima, and San Fernando and Sun Valley high schools.

VAN NUYS

New Chapter: Trilogy Studios, a Van Nuys video game developer, has launched an interactive storybook division, Trilogy Touch Studios. The new division will adapt children’s stories, including the “Harold and the Purple Crayon” series, for digital devices.

CALABASAS

Office Expansion: Rodeo Realty, a Beverly Hills real estate firm, has more than doubled the size of its Calabasas sales office and plans to hire about 50 agents, bringing the number of agents at the outpost to 150. Rodeo has moved from a 5,000-square-foot office to a new 12,000-square-foot office at 23901 Calabasas Road.

BURBANK

Hotel Expansion: Hotel Amarano, a boutique luxury hotel in Burbank, has launched a construction project to add 32 rooms to the site, boosting guest capacity by 30 percent. The hotel, in the city’s media district, is also building a pool and luxury suite with the hopes of luring more business from nearby entertainment production facilities such as Warner Bros. Studios and Walt Disney Co.

PALMDALE

On Tap: The Yard House, an Irvine-based restaurant chain, has opened a restaurant in Palmdale at the Antelope Valley Mall. It has leased a 10,000-square-foot space at the mall, at 1233 W. Rancho Vista Blvd.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Sewn Up: Pattern Bar has opened in downtown L.A.’s fashion district. The new restaurant and bar, co-owned by Eduardo Castillo and Alejandro Meza, is at 100 W. Ninth St.

CORRECTIONS

In the article headlined “Mayor Grabs Ax for L.A. City Tax” in the July 25 issue, the name of USC professor Charles Swenson was misspelled.

An article in the Up Front section of the July 25 issue headlined “Insurer’s Curbside Appeal” gave the wrong name of the company that sells specialized insurance for food trucks. The name is Risk Strategies Co.
