SANTA FE SPRINGS

Santa Fe Steel: Western Realco has purchased an industrial building at 11919 Smith Ave. from Hansen Steel Services for $9.23 million. The 85,912-square-foot, single-tenant plant was built in 1972.

CERRITOS

Industrial Sublease: Processing and Distribution Services Inc. has agreed to a two-year sublease of 128,000 square feet of Service Craft LLC’s warehouse distribution space, at 13226 Alondra Blvd., for $64,000 a month. Processing and Distribution Services will fully occupy facility, which was built in 1981.


SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

NORTH HOLLYWOOD

Multifamily Deal: Spiegel Development and Montage Development have sold the Bonner Casitas Apartments for $7.88 million. The 32-unit complex, at 5500 Bonner Ave., covers 25,991 square feet. The buyer was not identified.


WESTSIDE

WEST HOLLYWOOD

Turnkey Turnover: Turnkey Property Management Systems has sold the Studio Arnaz Apartments at 320 S. Arnaz Drive for $13.9 million. The 33,462-square-foot property, built in 1984, contains 48 multifamily units. The buyer was not identified.

SANTA MONICA

Loungewear Launch: Santa Monica-based luxury bedding and furniture designer Rachel Ashwell Designs Inc. has partnered with Van Nuys apparel manufacturer and licenser Jerry Leigh of California Inc. to launch Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture lounge wear and sleep wear. The clothing lines will be available at boutiques, department stores and Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic stores.

Retail Sale: Chan Family 1982 Trust has purchased a restaurant building from Sherwin Family Partnership for $3.6 million. The 5,032-square-foot retail building, at 8727 W. Pico Blvd., was built in 1971.

CENTURY CITY

Online Boardroom: Century City-based video-conferencing provider Hexa2 Corp. has partnered with media distributor NetStairs.com Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to offer Virtual Board Room Live to business and corporate clients. The Virtual Board Room Live service, at Hexa2.com, provides online meeting rooms to customers for a monthly fee.

GLENDALE

Galleria Gains: The Glendale Galleria shopping mall has signed up two new retailers, Berkeley-based Peet’s Coffee & Tea; and Juno New York Shoes. The retailers are scheduled to open in the fall, and will join contemporary menswear outlet Marc Ecko Cut & Sew and San Francisco-based chain Sorabol Korean BBQ & Asian Noodles as the mall’s newest tenants.

BURBANK

Sporting Chance: Louis and Lynn Talamantes have purchased the 15,532-square-foot industrial building, at 3216 Valhalla Drive, from the Karalis Family Trust for $3 million. The buyers plan to remodel the property, built in 1951, to house their sporting goods store, Buddy’s All Stars.

Industrial Gem: Abdelsalam and Laila Khattab have purchased an industrial property from HCP Partners LP for $6.9 million. The 53,321-square-foot building, at 20755 Pointe Parkway, will be the new home of International Gems & Minerals.

VALENCIA

Office Pickup: Discovery Land Ventures LLC has purchased an office building from CM Stanford LLC for $7.6 million. The property, at 24911 Avenue Stanford, covers 66,569 square feet.
