Real Estate Deal: Kennedy Wilson, a Beverly Hills-based real estate services firm, has acquired Sachse Real Estate, also based in Beverly Hills. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Line on Financing: EdgeCast Networks Inc., a Santa Monica-based online data transfer company, has closed a $10 million financing round led by Menlo Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm. EdgeCast plans to use the money to develop new services, extend its network, and ramp up sales and marketing.
Healthy Account: Weston/Mason Marketing, a Santa Monica-based ad agency, will handle brand and marketing for Biotropics Ramuan, Malaysian health and beauty products from Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Biotropics U.S. Inc.

Getting Affiliated: Schaaf Consulting, a Sherman Oaks affiliate program management firm, has acquired PartnerCentric, a Santa Barbara affiliate program management firm. The new firm will be known as Schaaf-PartnerCentric. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Game On: Jason West and Vince Zampella, recently fired by video game developer and publisher Activision Blizzard Inc., have formed Respawn Entertainment. The video game developer will be based in Encino and release its tiles through Redwood-based Electronic Arts Inc.

LEDtronics Inc. and Aurora Systems Consulting Inc. received Enriching the Community awards for contributing to the prosperity of the city. Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center and Chef Shafer’s Depot earned Quality of Life Community Investor awards for their improvement of the community’s quality of life. Knowledge Adventure and Barrister Executive Suites received People to People awards for enhancing employment opportunities in the city. Ron’s Body Shop and ExxonMobil Torrance Refinery received Long-Term Investor awards for sustained excellence in performance for years in business. Miyako Hybrid Hotel was given a Torrance Advantage Special Award for its environmental certification.
