SAN GABRIEL VALLEY

MONTEREY PARK

Medical Partnership: SynerMed Inc., a Medicaid managed service organization based in Monterey Park, has added MinuteClinic health care centers in Southern California to its network of health care providers and services. MinuteClinic is a Minneapolis-based subsidiary of CVS Caremark Corp.; the MinuteClinic health centers are located in select CVS pharmacies.



WESTSIDE

CENTURY CITY

Complex Saluted: The Century City office of HGA Architects and Engineers has received the Community Impact Award from the Los Angeles Business Council for HGA’s Math and Science Complex at East Los Angeles College. The Business Council is a non-profit business advocacy group in Century City.

WEST HOLLYWOOD

Grocery Reopening: The West Hollywood Pavilions grocery store has reopened after 10 months of remodeling. The 52,000-square-foot store, at 8969 Santa Monica Blvd., includes pharmacy and deli departments, a sushi bar and wine cellar as well as outposts for Starbucks coffee and Jamba Juice smoothies.

New HQ: Crew Creative, an online and print marketing firm, has leased a West Hollywood office building that will serve as the company’s new corporate office. Terms of the deal for the 23,065-square-foot building at 7966 Beverly Blvd. were not disclosed.

SANTA MONICA

Renewed Deal: Santa Monica-based Wi-Fi services provider Boingo Wireless Inc., has renewed its Platform Services agreement with Verizon Communications Inc., extending the deal for an additional four years. The new contract is designed as a master agreement, giving Verizon the right to extend services previously provided to Verizon Business to other company units.


CENTRAL AREA

HOLLYWOOD

Retail Sale: Private investors Steven and Stephanie T. Ngu have purchased a Little Armenia retail building for $1.9 million from Western LLC. The 7,500-square-foot building is at 5060 Santa Monica Blvd.

Hollywood Debut: Hollywood & Highland, a retail center owned by CIM Group Inc., has added the Wine Bar as a tenant. The informal caf & #233; and wine boutique offers indoor and outdoor seating, and serves wines from around the world.



SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

WOODLAND HILLS

Internet Pickups: CrowdGather, a Woodland Hills-based online social network for forum owners and an advertising network for marketers, has acquired Internet sites AdminFusion.com, a Web master and forum owner community, and MJHQ.com, a Michael Jackson fan site. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

SHERMAN OAKS

Sounding Off: AudioMicro Inc., a Sherman Oaks-based online provider of music and sound effects licensing, has expanded its library with more than 55,000 sound effects from the Hollywood Edge, a unit of Hollywood-based CSS Studios LLC. Prices for sound effects through AudioMicro start at $1 per minute.

GLENDALE

Office Space: Witkin Family Trust has purchased a Glendale office complex for $1.8 million from MNM Group. The 8,000-square-foot property is at 1721-1725 Victory Blvd.


SOUTH BAY

EL SEGUNDO

French Connection: RPost, an El Segundo-based electronic business communications company that provides registered e-mail services, has formed a partnership with Paris-based Mailwatcher, an e-mail management and security company. The partnership will allow Mailwatcher to offer RPost’s services and products in the French market.
