Office Purchase: Eastman Kodak Co. has sold the Kodak Hollywood Campus in Los Angeles for $31.4 million to Thompson National Properties LLC. The property includes an 83,950-square-foot, three-story office facility, at 1017 N. Las Palmas, as well as an 18,850-square-foot office building, at 6700 Santa Monica Blvd.

New Location: The new West Hollywood location for BOA Steakhouse has broken ground at Luckman Plaza. BOA is at the Grafton Hotel on Sunset but is scheduled to move to its new 13,000-square-foot location at 9200 Sunset Blvd. in spring.

Firm Recognized: Koning Eizenberg, an architectural firm based in Santa Monica, has been awarded the 2009 Firm Award by the California Council of the American Institute of Architects. The firm was established in 1981.
China Goes Boingo: Santa Monica-based Boingo Wireless Inc., a Wi-Fi service business, has added service in the Yangtze Delta through China Telecom Co. Ltd. Customers can now connect in areas such as Shanghai, the Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province.

Progress for Pacoima: Plaza Pacoima, a $78 million, 209,000-square-foot shopping center, began construction with a groundbreaking ceremony of its Costco store and gas station. The center will also include a Best Buy, restaurants, office space and other retail.

Ticker Switch: Western Commercial Bank, based in Woodland Hills, has changed its Nasdaq symbol to WCBH, to match the initials of the bank’s holding company, WCB Holdings Inc.

Deodorant Products: Munchkin Inc., a North Hills manufacturer of infant and toddler products, has joined Church & Dwight Co. Inc., the producers of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, to create deodorizing products for nurseries. The nursery line includes a diaper fresh dispenser, disposal bags and disposal changing pads.

Lab Deal: Iris International Inc., a Chatsworth-based manufacturer of automated urinalysis technology used in hospitals and commercial laboratories, has signed a licensing agreement with Idexx Laboratories Inc., a Maine-based developer of technology-based products and services for veterinary, food and water applications. The $1.5 million agreement allows Idexx to manufacture Iris products and runs through 2020.

Sharing Is Caring: IPC the Hospitalist Co. Inc, based in North Hollywood, has purchased the hospitalist practice of Midwest Acute Care Consultants Inc., based in St. Louis. In 2008, IPC acquired 10 practices. Financial details of the purchase were not disclosed.

Hard Case Collective: Pelican Products Inc., a Torrance manufacturer of flashlights and cases, has acquired Hardigg Industries, a manufacturer of cases based in Massachusetts. The acquisition was valued at about $200 million.

Eco-Bank: Long Beach-based Farmers & Merchants Bank has opened an eco-friendly customer care center in Seal Beach. The 60,000-square-foot building has raised floors that reduce energy for heating and ventilation.

Super Charge: AeroVironment Inc., a Monrovia-based energy technology company and maker of unmanned aircrafts, has announced the installation of more than 200 of its PosiCharge fast-charge battery systems in more than 14 Nestle North America facilities. The company also unveiled a new model of PosiCharge fast charge battery systems for industrial electric vehicles.
