On Assignment Inc. said it has agreed to acquire Beverly, Mass.-based Oxford Global Resources Inc., a provider of technology and engineering staffing services, for $200 million.
Calabasas-based On Assignment said that Oxford generated around $180 million in revenue last year, a 20 percent jump over 2005’s total.
Oxford, which specializes in placing highly skilled engineers and technology professionals, has 850 employees and is a slight departure from On Assignment’s core business, which is recruiting health care and laboratory professionals.
Shares in On Assignment were up 20 cents to $11.95 in midday trading.
