Crude futures moved toward $52 a barrel Thursday afternoon, as traders remained anxious over mixed signals from OPEC and winter weather in the Northern Hemisphere.
Light, sweet crude for April delivery rose 33 cents to $51.50 a barrel in midday trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude edged up 53 cents to $49.04 a barrel on the International Petroleum Exchange.
