The Los Angeles office of HGA Architects and Engineers, an architecture, engineering and planning firm, has promoted Slawek Nadowski to senior associate. Previously, Nadowski was a senior project architect with the firm.



Banking & Finance

John D. Cochran has joined the Los Angeles office of Lovell Minnick Partners LLC, a private equity firm, as principal. Cochran was previously a principal with SV Investment Partners, a New York City-based private equity firm.

Wedbush Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has hired James Dressler and Julie Reimer as senior analysts. Dressler was previously a research assistant in Wells Fargo’s Proprietary Portfolio Group. Reimer was a consumer and retail investment banking analyst at Wachovia Capital Markets in Charlotte, N.C.


Engineering

Kevin Wright has been named group vice president of marketing for Meggitt Fluid Controls Group, a North Hollywood-based company that designs and develops fluid-control products and systems for commercial and military use. Wright was previously group vice president of customer satisfaction in the Burbank office of Crane Aerospace & Electronics.


Hospitality

The Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena, formerly known as the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel & Spa, has named Chris Sullivan rooms director. Sullivan was previously assistant rooms executive with the Ritz-Carlton.


Landscape

Richard A. Sperber has been named co-chief executive of ValleyCrest

Landscape Cos., a Calabasas-based landscaping company. Sperber is president of the company.


Law

The Los Angeles office of Bowman and Brooke LLP, a trial firm, has named Robert Baggs and Andrew T. Ryan associates, and Renee S. Konigsberg and Joyce M. Pein special counsels. Previously, Baggs served as an associate at Borton Petrini LLP, a Bakersfield-based law firm. Konigsberg was a senior associate at Meyers & McConnell, a law firm with offices in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. Peim was an associate with Herzfeld & Rubin PC, a New York City-based law firm. Ryan was an associate at Reback McAndrews & Kjar LLP, a Manhattan Beach-based law firm.

Renata A. Guidry has joined Pruetz Law Group LLP, an El Segundo-based intellectual property and business law firm, as associate. Guidry was previously an associate at Akerman Senterfitt LLP.

The Los Angeles County Bar Foundation has appointed Jim C. Martin president. Martin serves as a partner in the Los Angeles office of Reed Smith.

Henry Shields has been named partner in the Los Angeles office of Epstein Becker & Green PC. Shields was previously a senior litigation partner with Irell & Manella LLP, a Century-City based law firm.


Media

Brian Lakamp has joined the Los Angeles office of Premiere Radio Networks as executive vice president of digital media. Lakamp was previously chief executive and co-founder of Fluxe, a digital media startup focused on online music.


Non-Profit

United Way of Greater Los Angeles, a non-profit organization that provides people with basic needs, education and financial stability, has added Leticia Aguilar and Ren & #233;e White Fraser to its corporate board. Aguilar is chief executive of Bank of America’s Greater Los Angeles market. Fraser is chief executive of Fraser Communications, an L.A. advertising agency.


Real Estate

JRK Property Holdings, a real estate owner-operator and fund management company, has appointed Dean Andrews president of its JRK Hotel Group. Andrews was previously vice president of North America at Orient-Express Hotels Ltd.

Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp., an Irvine-based company that provides capital markets products for investment properties, has named Michael Derk vice president of capital markets in its Long Beach office. Derk was previously senior director with the company.

Norman Lee has been named managing director in the downtown Los Angeles office of Studley, an international commercial real estate services firm. Lee was previously senior vice president at Jamison Services Inc., a Los Angeles-based real estate investment and management firm.


Retail

Pinkberry has named Ron Graves chief executive. Graves is a general partner of venture capital firm Maveron and had been serving as interim chief executive of Pinkberry.

Technology Model Metrics, a software technology firm, has named Steve Bernard contact-center practice director in its Los Angeles office. Bernard was previously a sales director with Genesys Telecommunications.
