Windes & McClaughry Accountancy Corp. in Long Beach has named Robert M. Corbin partner in tax and accounting services and Peter W. Lee partner in audit and assurance services. Corbin was senior manager at KPMG; Lee was manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers.


Moss Adams LLP has promoted Yvette S. Tanner to senior manager in the royalty compliance division of its Los Angeles office. Tanner was previously a manager.


The Los Angeles office of KPMG LLP has promoted Mark Hutchins to managing partner. Hutchins previously served as partner in charge of the Western Area risk advisory services, internal audit, regulatory and compliance services practices.

Jay Levin has joined Encino-based Inter/Media Advertising as president and chief operating officer of its Mediapoint division. Levin was formerly vice president of sales at RevShare.



Architecture


Rossetti, a national architecture firm, has appointed John Truong to associate in its El Segundo office. Truong was previously senior technical design lead.

IA Interior Architects has appointed Nan Richardson as business development director for the firm’s Los Angeles office. Richardson retains her role leading business development for the Costa Mesa office.


Banking & Finance


City National Bank has hired Mark Smith as senior vice president and senior private client advisor at its downtown Los Angeles office. Smith was formerly manager of investment services at First National Bank of Illinois.

Indymac Mortgage Bank, a division of Pasadena-based Indymac Bank, has appointed Elvira Henderson and Tom Rodzewich as business development managers of the wholesale lending division. Henderson is based in Ontario and was previously wholesale account executive at Expanded Mortgage Credit; Rodzewich is based in Pasadena and was account executive at Opteum Financial Services.


Trenwith Valuation LLC, a middle-market valuation firm, has hired Vanita Spaulding as managing director at the firm’s Los Angeles office. Spaulding was previously partner at Gursey Schneider & Co. LLP.



Consulting


Andy Spahn & Associates Inc., a Los Angeles-based firm, has hired Jennifer Lin and Kevin Ryan as senior associates. Lin was program director at Team Safe-T, a non-profit specializing in emergency preparedness at California schools; Ryan was management supervisor for the Rogers Group.


Health Care


The Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute has named Donald E. Martin and Thomas McFadden members of its National Advisory Council. Martin is chairman of Torrance-based ePolicy Solutions Inc. McFadden is president emeritus of Marymount College in Rancho Palos Verdes.


City of Hope, a Duarte cancer hospital and research center, has named David Davis clinical nursing director for pediatrics. Davis was previously director of clinical informatics at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.



Law


DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP has hired Ronen Elad as partner in corporate and securities practice group at the firm’s Century City office. Elad was an associate at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.


Media


GSN, a television network dedicated to games, has hired Jamie Roberts as senior vice president of programming. Roberts had served as head of production and development for unscripted programming at Sky Networks.


Paramount Home Entertainment International has made the following management appointments: Don Hunton, senior vice president of Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom; Luigi Calabrese, senior vice president; Magnus Hollo, senior vice president of international sales; Mary Kincaid, executive vice president of worldwide marketing services; and Olivier Tena, executive vice president and general manager. Hunton was senior vice president of Asia Pacific; Calabrese was worldwide president of Walt Disney records and music publishing; Hollo was head of international sales for DreamWorks Home Entertainment; Kincaid was head of domestic marketing for DreamWorks Home Entertainment; and Tena was head of DreamWorks International home video.


Platinum Studios, a Beverly Hills-based entertainment company that manages an independent library of comic book characters, has appointed Zachary Pennington as vice president of creative in the new media group. Pennington was recently senior art director of the Cimarron Group.


Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. has promoted Allyson Lattman to vice president of television development and Andy Richley to director of television development. Lattman was director of creative affairs; Richley was a manager.


Anne Babin has been named senior designer at MDots, a creative services studio based in Universal City. Babin was previously founder and creative director at Lava Creative Inc. in Santa Monica.



Non-Profit


Louise H. Bryson has been elected as chairwoman of the J. Paul Getty Board. Bryson is president of distribution of Lifetime Entertainment Services and general manager of Lifetime Movie Network.



Technology


NextMedium, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in brand integration, has named Vanessa DelMuro and Karina Grotz acquisitions and brand integration executives. DelMuro was an executive at Bragman Nyman Cafarelli and Grotz was head of product placement at Miramax and an executive at Hollywood-based Primary Action.


The Parents’ Choice Foundation has named Imperial Toy LLC’s Little Tikes Bubble Bellies the winner of the Parents’ Choice Fun Stuff Award.


NAIFA Los Angeles received the 2005-06 Jack E. Bobo Award of Excellence from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. The award is given to associations that excel in areas critical to success and growth over a one-year period.


Shinae Chun, director of the Women’s Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor, recently received the Pioneer Award for outstanding leadership from the Korean American Community Development Council in Los Angeles.


Thomas Rothman, Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman and chief executive, will be honored at the Fulfillment Fund “Stars 2006” benefit gala on Oct 16.


Barron’s, a weekly magazine published by Dow Jones, has listed the “Top 100 Women Financial Advisers,” which included five advisers from Los Angeles County: Rebecca Rothstein from Smith Barney Access; Lisa Chapman and Lisa Petrie from UBS Financial Services; and Danielle Ambrose and Diane Hirschhorn from Merrill Lynch.
