Aerospace

James R. Phillips has been promoted to vice president and general manager of McDonnell Douglas’ MD-95 program. Phillips succeeds John Wolf, who announced his retirement effective March 28.

Phillips will handle manufacturing and production of the new short-to-medium range, twin-engine jetliner that McDonnell Douglas plans to introduce for service in 1999.

Advertising/Public Relations

Fattal & Collins of Marina del Rey announced the appointment of Eric Hirshberg, senior vice president, as the agency’s creative director. Hirshberg originally joined the firm after graduating from UCLA in 1990 and handles accounts for the Los Angeles City Fire Department, Infiniti Luxury Cars and ABC Television.

Hirshberg has received numerous local, national and international awards for creative excellence, including Beldings, Obies, Clios, Andys, the International Automotive Advertising awards and Adweeks’s Best of Lists.

Banking

Imperial Bank has given Norman P. Creighton the additional title of vice chairman. Creighton retains his previous title of chief executive officer.

Entertainment/Media

Lori Cloud has been promoted to vice president of national promotions for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. She will be responsible for identifying and developing worldwide marketing and promotional opportunities throughout MGM.

Deluxe Film Labs has appointed Dashiell E. Morrison as senior vice president for production. Morrison joined Deluxe in 1964 while attending college. He went from being a machine operator to assistant vice president of production responsible for answer prints, special projects and daily customer communications before being named vice president of Front-End Productions in 1990.

Health Care

Long Beach-based Dental Health Services named Dyanna M. Winn as its new director of services. She takes the job after 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with her most recent post being West Coast sales director for National Medical Health Card Systems.

Dental Health Services was founded in 1974 as a pre-paid dentistry company. It now provides statewide dental coverage in California for groups of varying sizes.

Manufacturing

OCE-Office Systems announced several executive title changes as part of the restructuring of its West Coast offices. Dwaynne Gilliam, former region manager for the Los Angeles area, will now serve in the newly created position of region director for the Los Angeles Metro Region. Dean Richards, former district sales manager for the Southern California area, has been promoted to the new position of region director. Tom Figlio was promoted from region manager to the new position of region director of Northern California.

Ed Bannigan, formerly a district sales manager, has been promoted to the new position of systems sales manager overseeing the new branch responsible for Los Angeles. Doug Lowary, former distribution manager, assumes the responsibility of national accounts manager.

All will be based in Los Angeles.

James H. Frey was elected corporate vice president in charge of strategic business development by Litton Industries Inc.’s board of directors. Frey, 58, will be responsible for development of the strategic direction of the company, as well as new markets.

Frey joined Litton in 1988 as president of Litton Itek Optical Systems and held that position until 1996, when he was appointed vice president of Litton Systems Inc.

Real Estate

PM Realty Group has appointed John J. O’Brien as the firm’s senior vice president of design and construction. O’Brien will direct the firm’s new construction management group. He formerly worked at Cushman & Wakefield.

Newhall Land and Farming Co. announced that Donald L. Kimball has been promoted to vice president of finance. Also promoted was Thomas H. Almas to vice president of administration.

Newhall Land is a developer of new towns and master-planned communities, with primary activity near Valencia.

David Prior, president of Los Angeles-based Klabin Co., has been elected president of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. Prior, a 17-year veteran of commercial real estate, succeeds Patrick O’Healy.

Trammell Crow Co. announced the promotions of Henry C. Johnson, Mark D. Leonard and Timur Tecimer to the position of senior vice president. They also take on the title of principals at the company, and will be responsible for development throughout Southern California. All three will be based in the company’s Los Angeles office.

Transportation

Gaye Hundley has joined WOSCA Shippers Cooperative as an account executive in Southern California. Hundley has more than 20 years of experience in both the trailerload and truckload market focusing mostly in the Los Angeles area.

WOSCA has a network of terminals across the nation, and serves more than 2,000 large and small shippers. Hundley will be based in the company’s South Gate office.

Utilities

Susan L. Leone has been named director of administration for Dominguez Water Corp., an investor-owned water utility based in Long Beach. Leone previously worked as vice president of human resources at Rykoff-Sexton Inc.
