Inter/Media Advertising, an Encino-based advertising agency, has hired Jean Macke as account executive. Macke was previously sales manager for Los Canyons Golf Club.


Architecture

Bung Ko has been named senior designer of architecture in the Los Angeles office of HGA Architects and Engineers. Ko was previously principal of his own firm, Bung Ko Architects.


Rossetti, a global architectural firm, has hired Diana Murphy as associate and director of interior design in its Los Angeles office. Murphy was previously executive director of facility planning and interiors with Anschutz Entertainment Group, an international sports and entertainment company.


Banking & Finance

Far East National Bank, a Los Angeles-based Asian-American bank, has hired Michael Wilson as first vice president and relationship manager in its commercial real estate banking group. Wilson was previously vice president and senior lending officer with Central Pacific Bank.

Chris Bell has joined Americas United Bank in Glendale as vice president. Previously, Bell was business development officer at Temecula Valley Bank.

Scott Witter has joined the downtown Los Angeles office of City National Bank as senior vice president and private banking manager. Witter was previously private client adviser in Bank of America’s private banking department.

Union Bank of California has promoted George Tanaka to senior vice president and head of the bank’s Japanese market segment in its downtown Los Angeles office. Tanaka was previously vice president and diverse markets manager with the bank.

Comerica Bank has named Dennis Eap assistant vice president and regional deposit officer, and Kathleen Woodcock vice president and private banker in the wealth and institutional management division at its Century City branch. Eap was most recently an assistant vice president and premier banking client manager for Bank of America. Woodcock was vice president and financial services manager for City National Bank.



Engineering

TMAD Taylor & Gaines, a California-based engineering firm, has hired Scott Gordon as director of commissioning and construction services, and Andy Wilson as vice president of business development in its Pasadena office. Gordon was previously director of construction administration at M-E Engineers. Wilson served as senior project manager with CB Richard Ellis.


Entertainment

Noah Maffitt has joined Live Nation, a music company headquartered in Los Angeles, as executive vice president and general manager of LiveNation.com. Previously, Maffitt served as director of global e-commerce strategy at Office Depot.


Health Care

City of Hope has named Joseph C. Alvarnas director of quality systems for cellular therapeutics in the division of hematology and cell transplantation in its Duarte campus. Alvarnas was previously director of cell processing of the hospital’s bone-marrow transplant program in Phoenix.


Law

Linda J. Kim has joined Tisdale & Nicholson LLP, a Los Angeles-based law firm, as senior counsel. Kim previously served as an attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Pacific regional office.


Manufacturing

Wavestream Corp., a San Dimas-based company that manufactures power amplifiers, has named Blythe Chad Deckman vice president of engineering. Deckman was previously director of research and development with the company.


Marketing

Jason Wang has joined the Los Angeles office of Avenue A Razorfish, an international interactive marketing and technology company, as technology director. Previously, Wang served as technology strategist and engagement manager at speakTech, a tech company.


Media

Nora Cranley has been named lead editor of the Los Angeles office of Contour, a division of Getty Images that specializes in the licensing and syndication of celebrity portraits. Cranley previously served as fashion editor at Flaunt magazine.


Online

Virgin Charter, a Santa Monica company that offers an online marketplace for air travel, has promoted Brian Pope to chief operating officer. Pope was previously chief marketing officer.

The Winner’s Circle has listed 10 Los Angeles area-based financial advisers among its 100 top American financial advisers. The honorees are Richard Blosser of Morgan Stanley; David Hou, Merrill Lynch; Richard Jones, Merrill Lynch; Steve Levine, Credit Suisse; Mark Sear, Merrill Lynch; Rebecca Rothstein, Smith Barney; Bruce Treitman, Deutsche Bank; Alan Whitman, Morgan Stanley; Reza Zafari, Merrill Lynch; and Drew Zager, Morgan Stanley.

Barbara Dunn has been inducted into the International Interior Design Association’s College of Fellows, the highest honor that the association bestows upon professional architects. Dunn is partner and principal with the Santa Monica office of Gensler, a global architecture, design, planning and consulting firm.

ORC Worldwide, a human resources management consulting firm, has honored Frank Quevedo with Peter Robertson Award for Equality and Diversity Champions, which recognizes individuals’ commitment to promoting diversity. Quevedo is vice president of equal opportunity for Southern California Edison.
