City National Bank has named Doerte Lindner vice president and manager at its Pasadena banking office, and Syeda Hashmi vice president and manager of its Torrance banking office. Lindner was previously manager of Citibank? Pasadena branch. Hashmi was vice president and branch manager of Citibank? Manhattan Beach office.

Dana M. Jacobs has been appointed regional head of Western United States in the downtown L.A. office of HSBC Private Bank. Jacobs previously served as regional head for the bank? Southern California practice.

David Ridini has joined Canyon Capital Realty Advisors, a Century City money management firm, as managing director. Ridini was previously managing director in the global commercial real estate group of Lehman Bros. Inc. in New York.

Andy Logan has joined Stuart Karten Design, a Marina del Rey industrial design consultancy, as creative director. Logan was previously principal designer at Frog Design, a San Francisco-based firm.

Antioch University Los Angeles has named Malcolm McNeil chairman and Ann Van Dormolen vice chairwoman. The university also appointed Joe Benites, Warren Bennis, William Brockhaus, James A. Frantic Films VFX, a global production company, has named Neil Huxley art director and motion graphics supervisor in its Hollywood studio. Huxley was previously art director at Yu and Co., a visual effects and design firm in Hollywood.

James D. Power IV has been elected to the board of the Southern California chapter of the non-profit National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Power was previously senior vice president and strategic adviser at J.D. Power and Associates, a Westlake Village marketing information company.


Human Resources

Korn/Ferry International, a Century City-based executive recruiting firm, has named Michael A. DiGregorio executive vice president and chief financial officer. Previously, DiGregorio served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at St. John Knits International Inc., a women? apparel company in Irvine.

Law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP has named David C. Marcus partner in its downtown L.A. office. Marcus was previously partner in the Century City office of law firm Susman Godfrey LLP.

Ascent Media Group in Santa Monica has hired Emily Keeton as senior vice president of corporate development, Staci Miller as vice president of strategic initiatives, and Adam Poulter as senior vice president of global sales and account management. Previously, Keeton served as managing director of investment banking division at Credit Suisse, a financial services company based in Zurich, Switzerland. Miller was vice president of strategy and operations at Warner Bros. Online in Burbank. Poulter was executive commercial director for Red Bee Media, a London-based media company.

The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has appointed Gisselle Acevedo, Kenneth W. Bentley, George Kieffer, Art Leahy and Thomas Sayles to its board. Acevedo is president of Para Los Ni?s, a downtown L.A. non-profit that provides child care and schooling to at-risk children. Bentley is vice president of Nestl?USA Inc. in Glendale. Kieffer is partner at Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP, a West L.A. law firm. Leahy is chief executive of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Sayles is vice president for government and community relations at USC.

Edward Kim has been appointed to the board of Koreatown Youth and Community Center Inc., a non-profit organization serving the Korean American community. Kim is president of Molina Medical Group in Long Beach.


Technology

Lieberman Software, a Century City-based software company, has hired Steve Sheinbaum as director of channels and business development. Sheinbaum previously served as director of Americas sales and marketing at Marshal Software, a technology company in Basingstoke, England.
