Chris DeMoulin has been named executive vice president, marketing for Anschutz Film Group, where he will oversee integrated marketing, promotion, product placement, licensing, video games and home entertainment. Most recently, DeMoulin worked as a consultant for Walden Media and ran his own consulting firm, Chris DeMoulin Associates Inc.

Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. has promoted Ryan O’Hara to president of its TVG Network, an interactive horse racing network. Previously, O’Hara was chief operating officer of TVG.

Vivendi Universal Games has appointed Terri Durham executive vice president and global general counsel. Most recently, she was vice president and counsel for Vivendi Universal.

Ian Valentine has been named senior vice president of programming for GSN, a games network. Valentine was senior vice president of programming at the Sci-Fi Channel.

John McGuire has been hired by Jim Henson Co. as vice president of business and legal affairs. Previously, McGuire was vice president, business affairs and co-productions at Starz Encore Group LLC.

Health Care

Kristine Giordano has been named general manager of Vitas Innovative Hospice Care of San Gabriel Cities in Covina. Prior to joining Vitas, Giordano was executive director of Sunrise Assisted Living in Los Angeles.

Hospitality

Niki Albert has been hired as director of sales at Grafton on Sunset Hotel. Most recently Albert was director of sales for boutique sister hotels Coast Anabelle Hotel and The Safari Inn.

Law

Weston Benshoof Rochefort Rubalcava & MacCuish LLP has hired C. Michelle Marlo as of counsel with its real estate group. Before joining Weston Benshoof, Marlo was in solo law practice for 15 years.

Richard Leher has joined Greenberg Traurig LLP’s entertainment practice in Los Angeles as a shareholder. He was most recently executive vice president of the Hollywood Records division of Walt Disney Co.

Media

Boingo Wireless has hired Jon Irwin as senior vice president of operations. Most recently, Irwin was vice president of service delivery at Infonet.

Spanish Broadcasting System Inc. has appointed Jason Wilberding director of sales for its Los Angeles radio cluster. Wilberding was most recently general sales manager with Viacom/Infinity’s KTWV-FM (94.7).

Non-Profit

Jah’Shams Abdul-Mu’min has been named executive director of the Violence Prevention Coalition of Greater Los Angeles. Abdul-Mu’min is currently enrolled in Antioch University’s Ph.D. Leadership and Change program.

The Urban Education Partnership has named Johnny Darnell Griggs its chief executive. Griggs is a partner in the law firm of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood and chairman of the Urban Education Partnership.

Five Acres, a treatment and education center for abused and at-risk children, has appointed new board members. Eric Amend of Paseo Capital Advisors; Frances Caple, a retired USC School of Social Work professor; John Farley, retired L.A. County administrator; Katie King, a vice president at Marsh Insurance; Brian Nash of Wells Fargo Private Client Services; and Diane Severino of State Street Bank.

Real Estate

Franck Morineau has joined Charles Dunn Co. as managing director in the office services group. Morineau, based in the firm’s Studio City office, most recently served as founder and managing broker for WilshireWest, a full-service commercial brokerage firm in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles/Ventura County division of D.R. Horton has hired Carmen Harte as a project manager for the Antelope Valley region. Prior to joining D.R. Horton, Harte managed Davidon Homes’ Southern California division office.

Technology

New Age Electronics Inc. has appointed Jamie Tumas as manager of eBay sales and Eric Fatovic as national retail sales manager. Tumas had previously been in the new business development group at the boys and entertainment division at Mattel Inc. Fatovic managed Best Buy, Wal-Mart, PC Mall and CompUSA retail accounts at LG Electronics.

Tourism

LA Inc., the convention and visitors bureau, has elected Jamie D. McCourt to its governing board. McCourt is vice chairman of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Derrell Spann has been appointed director of regional sales for Summit Performance Group’s Los Angeles office. Prior to joining SPG, Spann was director of sales, worldwide accounts for Hilton National Sales with responsibilities for the Southern California corporate market.

Utilities

Southern California Edison has appointed Barbara Reeves as vice president of the electric utility’s shared services organization. Reeves, who joined SCE in 1999, was most recently an associate general counsel with the utility’s law department.
