Austin Veum Robbins Partners, a Los Angeles-based design, planning and architecture firm, has named Kristen Baird an associate. Baird remains director of interior design with the company.

Pamela Sullivan has been appointed to vice president of real estate lending at Wescom Credit Union. Sullivan was recently administrative vice president for operations with Aurora Loan Services.


Indymac Bank has promoted Alex Cole to vice president of business development for the home construction lending division and Carla Wise to senior vice president of default risk management. Cole previously served as assistant vice president with the company; Wise was previously first vice president at Irwin Mortgage Corp.


Citigroup Private Bank has promoted Hale Behzadi to global market manager for the Southern California region. Behzadi recently served as managing director for the bank.


Richard J. Tribiano has joined City National Bank as a senior vice president and national sales manager for its wealth management services division in Beverly Hills. Tribiano was most recently national sales director with Merrill Lynch Trust Co.


Glencrest Investment Advisors has hired Thomas Head as vice president and supervisor of the Palm Desert office. Head was previously director of development at Eisenhower Medical Center.



Consulting


CCG Investor Relations, a strategic communications agency, has hired Steven Kim as a financial writer at its Los Angeles office. Prior to joining the company, Kim was an analyst with Cambridge Pharma Consultancy.



Government


Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Henry Aguilar of Whittier and Walter Allen of Covina to the California Council on Criminal Justice, Marilyn Lyon of Rancho Palos Verdes to the California Architects Board, and Josh Valdez of Thousand Oaks to the Health Policy and Data Advisory Commission. Aguilar is currently supervisory deputy sheriff at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department; Allen recently served as assistant secretary for correctional safety at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; Lyon is owner of Lyon & Associates Marketing and Public Relations; and Valdez is senior vice president of health care management for the west region of WellPoint.

Brien Scott has been named creative director and executive vice president of SGI Marketing. Scott was formerly creative director for Culver City-based Kent & Spiegel Direct Inc.



Media


Sony Pictures Entertainment has named John Calkins senior vice president of corporate development and promoted Sean Carey to executive vice president of digital distribution and product acquisition for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Calkins was president of Lieberfarb & Associates LLC; he fills Carey’s former position.



Non-Profit


Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services, a treatment and education organization for adolescents in the juvenile justice system, has appointed Colin E. Barr to its advisory board. Barr is currently partner at Century City law firm Orbach Huff & Suarez LLP.



Real Estate


Sci Real Estate Investments has promoted Andrew Van Tuyle to chief operating officer. Tuyle was recently chief investment officer with the firm.



Services


Harry Lin has been named senior vice president and general manager of Los Angeles-based Evite, a social event planning Web site. Lin was formerly vice president of ABC.com.



Technology


Digital Domain, a creator of special visual effects for film, commercials, and music videos, has named Molly Hansen vice president. Hansen continues in her positions as general counsel and head of business affairs at the company.


Robert Aniello has joined THQ Inc., a developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software, as senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Aniello was previously vice president of marketing at Jamdat/Electronic Arts.


Gamma Enterprise Technologies, a systems management firm based in Woodland Hills, has named Costa Harbilas vice president of sales. Harbilas was previously regional vice president of sales at Geac Enterprise Solutions.


Revver Inc., an online video distributor, has appointed David Tenzer as head of media partnerships. Previously, Tenzer was a business affairs executive and television packaging agent with Creative Artists Agency.



Transportation


The Automobile Club of Southern California has reappointed the following members to its board: Jack Brown, Antonia Hernandez, and Ray Martin. Brown is currently chairman, president and chief executive of Stater Bros. Markets in Colton; Hernandez is president and chief executive of the California Community Foundation; and Martin is the retired chairman and chief executive of Coast Federal Bank.


Los Angeles World Airports has appointed James T. Butts Jr. to deputy executive director of airport law enforcement and protection services. Butts recently served as police chief of Santa Monica. At Ontario International Airport, LAWA named Jess Romo as manager and Kim Ellis as assistant airport manager. Romo was previously property manager at the Los Angeles International, Ontario, and Van Nuys airports; Ellis was acting manager for Ontario Airport.
