Gores Group LLC, a Los Angeles-based investment firm focused on technology, telecommunications and business services, hired Roderick Sherwood III as chief financial officer of Gores Operations Group. Sherwood previously was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Irvine-based Gateway Inc.


Century City-based Private Bank of California hired V. Susie Kazarian as vice president for development and management of customer relationships, Ayesha Ahmad as assistant vice president-relationship manager, Michelle Johnson as assistant vice president-relationship officer, Terri Carson as assistant vice president, and Jackeline Franco-Thomas as assistant vice president-operations. Kazarian previously was manager at Comerica Bank in Studio City, Ahmad and Johnson were private banking officers at Comerica Bank in Beverly Hills, Carson was an officer at City National Bank and Franco-Thomas was a private banking officer at First Republic Bank in Century City.

Matt Construction in Santa Fe Springs promoted Daniel A. Stafford to vice president and director of operations and Thomas L. Andrews to chief financial officer. Also, Timothy McDonald was hired as vice president of human resources and Roger W. Fricke as chief estimator. Stafford previously was vice president and senior project manager, Andrews was vice president and controller, McDonald was director of human resources at Corona-based Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Fricke was senior project manager at Opus Northwest LLC in Portland, Ore.

BBC Motion Gallery, a Burbank-based division of BBC Worldwide Ltd., promoted Kristy Manning as director, West Coast sales. Manning previously was Los Angeles sales manager.

Dole Food Co. Inc. promoted Sylvain Cuperlier to vice president, director of worldwide corporate social responsibility. Cuperlier previously was manager, responsibility programs and communication at the Westlake Village company.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa appointed Andrew K. Antwih as chief legislative representative in Sacramento. Antwih previously was chief consultant to the transportation committee in Sacramento.

California P.E.O. Home, an Alhambra-based retirement center owner and operator, hired Colleen O’Dell as director of fund development. O’Dell previously was development associate at Heal the Bay in Santa Monica.

Left Bank Solutions, a Los Angeles-based developer of call center software, appointed Michael Bateman to its board. Bateman previously was chairman, president and chief operating officer at Atlanta-based Blue Pumpkin Software.


Parsons, a Pasadena-based provider of technical and management solutions, has moved Martin Fabrick to executive vice president of Parsons Water & Infrastructure. Fabrick previously was executive vice president for Parsons Infrastructure & Technology Group.


Tetra Tech Inc., a Pasadena-based provider of consulting, engineering and technical services, hired Doug Smith to manage the infrastructure business group. Smith previously was senior vice president of strategic planning at Colorado-based MWH Global Inc.


Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC, a Los Angeles-based provider of technology-based solutions for the legal and financial industries, hired Francine Gordon as a senior bankruptcy consultant. Gordon previously was vice president at Trumbull Group in Windsor, Conn.
