Mitchell W. Kitayama has been appointed first vice president of asset liability management for East West Bank in San Marino. He will be responsible for managing the interest rate risk exposure and overseeing the bank’s investment portfolio. Kitayama comes to East West Bank from First American Bank in Texas.

Chicago Title and Trust Co. has named John Webster as a vice president. Webster is vice president of Chicago Title subsidiary, Ticor Title Insurance Co. in Chatsworth.

Lockton Co. has appointed Tim Noonan president of its Los Angeles-based subsidiary, Lockton Insurance Brokers Inc. Prior to joining Lockton Insurance Brokers Inc., Noonan served as senior vice president of Jardine Insurance Brokers.

Entertainment

Robert Cooper, former president of TriStar Pictures, was named head of production at DreamWorks SKG. Cooper will handle operations for the fledgling studio’s live-action features.

Chris Lee has been named president of production for TriStar Pictures, one of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s two major motion picture studios. Prior to his promotion, Lee served as executive vice president of production for TriStar. Prior to joining TriStar, Lee worked for ABC’s “Good Morning America” in New York.

Bret Magpiong has been promoted to chief financial officer for The Bubble Factory, a Los Angeles-based multimedia company. Magpiong served as a vice president of finance and administration prior to his promotion. Before joining The Bubble Factory, he worked for Price Waterhouse LLP in Century City as a senior manager in the business management division.

Christina Kounelias has been named senior vice president of publicity and public relations for Fox Broadcasting Co. Prior to joining Fox Broadcasting Co., Kounelias served as senior vice president of marketing for New Line Cinema. She will be responsible for developing and directing all aspects of publicity and corporate public relations associated with the network.

Iris Grossman has been promoted to senior vice president of talent and casting for Turner Network Television. She will oversee all talent and casting issues related to TNT Original films and specials in the Los Angeles-based development and production offices.

Cheryl Boone Isaacs has been named president of theatrical marketing for New Line Cinema. Prior to joining New Line Cinema, Boone Isaacs served on the senior marketing team for the motion picture group of Paramount Pictures. Her duties include overseeing the marketing department as well as publicity, media-buying, co-op advertising, promotions and product placement.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. has announced the appointment of Linda Berman to executive vice president for MGM consumer products, a division of MGM Home Entertainment/Consumer Products Group. Prior to joining the Santa Monica-based entertainment company, Berman owned and operated Fig. 1, a products marketing company. Additionally, Charles E. Cohen was named executive vice president of finance and corporate development. His responsibilities include development of business strategies for new markets as well as development of new partnerships and alliances.

William J. Patrizio has been appointed vice president of Universal Studios. Patrizio recently served as senior director of reengineering. Prior to joining Universal Studios, Patrizio served in the area of reengineering at Joseph E. Seagram & Sons Inc. Bryan Glover has been named senior director of reengineering to replace Patrizio. Glover served as vice president and controller of studio operations prior to his promotion.

Peter H. Bachmann has been named president of Spelling Entertainment Group Inc., a producer and distributor of television, film and interactive entertainment. Bachmann will oversee daily operations of Spelling Entertainment and will be responsible for shaping and implementing the company’s strategic plan. Spelling Entertainment Group is a subsidiary of Viacom Inc.

High-Tech/Aerospace

Candle Corp. has appointed Dave Stevens vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for directing Candle’s worldwide corporate marketing efforts. He will also oversee product marketing, market development, education and training.

Isocor has appointed Paul R. Gigg chief operating officer of the Santa Monica-based software company. Gigg will be responsible for managing Isocor’s daily operations and promoting Isocor on an international basis. Prior to joining Isocor, Gigg served as director of marketing and engineering of Dowty Communications in the United Kingdom.

3D Systems Corp. has appointed Richard Balanson president and chief operating officer of the Valencia-based developer, marketer and manufacturer of solid-imaging systems. The company’s founder, Charles W. Hull, will assume the posts of vice chairman and chief technology officer.

Legal

McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen LLP has announced the promotion of Colleen Doyle, an environmental partner, to managing partner of the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining McCutchen, she worked as in-house counsel for Southern California Edison. Doyle’s expertise is in the area of environmental litigation and compliance counseling.

Real Estate

John A. Gebhardt, senior vice president of CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc. has been appointed managing officer of the firm’s Beverly Hills/Century City office. Gebhardt also serves as director of CB Commercial’s Institutional Service Group in Los Angeles in which he coordinates the region’s investment sales, mortgage banking, landlord leasing and managing services.

Catherine Shelton has been appointed vice president of Michael Ochoa Inc., a general construction and project management company. She will be responsible for sales and group operations of the Century City office. Prior to joining Ochoa Inc., she served as the manager of special projects and tenant improvements at the Century Plaza Towers.

Scott McClure has been named business development manager of Millie and Severson Inc. of Los Alamitos. McClure will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with commercial, industrial and institutional clientele. Prior to joining Millie and Severson, he served as sales manager for Industrial Power Systems Inc. of Torrance.
