Apparel

Blue Holdings Inc., a designer, manufacturer and distributor of apparel and accessories, has appointed Harry Haralambus and Leonard Hecht as board members. Haralambus is currently president of the Lambus Group, an apparel consulting and marketing company. Hecht is the founder and president of Chrysalis Capital Group, an investment banking firm in Southern California.



Banking & Finance

KPMG LLP has named Viktor Rzeteljski lead managing partner for the West area. He was retains his role as the West area advisory managing partner.


John Brady has joined Oaktree Capital Management LLC, an asset manager, as managing director and head of the global real estate group. Brady most recently was a principal at Colony Capital, an international real estate investment firm.


Joseph Mazza has been hired as Southern California executive managing director for RSM McGladrey, a national accounting, tax and business consulting firm. Mazza has recently served as managing director at the firm.


Mark Joseph has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Kinecta Federal Credit Union. Joseph previously served in the same positions with Northern Trust, a subsidiary of Northern Trust Corp.


Hadley Partners Inc., an investment banking firm, has hired Dan Shea as managing director of the Los Angeles headquarters. Shea previously served in the same position with W. Y. Campbell & Co., a specialty investment banking firm.


Private Bank of California has hired Connie S. Wong as vice president and operations manager and promoted Farah Gilkar to assistant vice president and relationship manager. Wong was previously vice president with First Bank of Beverly Hills. Gilkar was a private banking officer with Private Bank of America.


James H. Zukin has been elected chairman of Asia for Houlihan Lokey & Zukin, an international investment bank. Zukin is a founding partner of the firm.



Engineering

Psomas, a consulting engineering firm specializing in land development, water and transportation markets, has named Jennifer Carter, Jeff Chess and Andrew Nickerson as associates. Carter is the regional business development manager, Chess is a project manager and Nickerson is a senior project manager at Psomas.



Entertainment

Davie Brown Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based entertainment consulting company, has hired Beverly Berry as account director. Prior to joining Davie Brown, Berry worked in marketing and promotions for Cadbury Schweppes.


Bret Marcus has been named vice president of programming, publicity and promotion at KCET-TV (28), a public television station serving Southern and Central California. Marcus was most recently executive producer of California Connected, a co-production of four PBS member stations.


Frank Cartwright has been named vice president of online entertainment at GSN, an entertainment company specializing in interactive game programs. Cartwright was most recently vice president of product development and engineering at Global Gaming League.


Arbitron Inc. has promoted Dave Chipman to western regional manager of radio station services. Chipman was a senior account manager in Arbitron’s RSS division.


Michael Corrigan has been named vice chairman of Afterburner Films, a financed independent feature film production company. Corrigan is a former MGM chief financial officer.



Government

Ernesto Cardenas has been appointed to the Los Angeles Board of Public Works commission. Cardenas is currently senior project manager for corporate real estate at SBC Services Inc./AT & T; in Alhambra.



Law

Loeb & Loeb LLP has hired Linda Bernhardt as managing director of regulatory affairs and land development. She was most recently director of regulatory affairs of Weston Benshoof, a California law firm.


Allan Gabriel has joined Dykema Gossett PLLC in Los Angeles, as an attorney in intellectual property litigation practice group. Gabriel was formerly an attorney with international law firm Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP.


Levene Neale Bender Rankin & Brill LLP, a Century-City based bankruptcy, insolvency and business reorganization specialist, has hired Michelle S. Grimberg as an associate in its litigation section. Prior to joining the firm, Grimberg was a general civil litigator at Bingham McCutchen LLP.



Marketing

Wongdoody, a marketing consultancy, has hired Julia Regan and Ryan Scott as copywriters and Samantha Sherwin as traffic manager. Regan was previously a copywriter at Publicis USA, an international communications group. Scott was a copywriter at DDB LA, a multinational advertising agency and Sherwin was project manager at DDB LA. Also, United Future, the interactive arm of Wongdoody, has hired Christopher Adorna as director of experience planning in Los Angeles. Adorna was most recently director of user experience of AT & T;/Yellowpages.com.



Non-Profit

The Coalition for Clean Air has hired Alberto B. Mendoza as president and chief executive. Mendoza was most recently the Southern California regional director of Drug Policy Alliance, a national advocacy organization headquartered in New York.



Public Relations

Carol Ruiz has joined 5th Gear, an advertising and public relations firm in Culver City, as vice president of public relations. Ruiz was previously vice president of corporate communications for Centerpoint, a boutique real estate financing company.



Real Estate

Javier Rivera has joined Jones Lang LaSalle, a real estate services and money management firm, as vice president in the Capital Markets Group. Rivera was formerly director of acquisitions and development manager of Ratkovich Co., a Los Angeles urban infill developer.


Michele D. Dennis has been named president of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Los Angeles. Prior to joining the association, Dennis was executive director for the Professionals in Human Resources Association, a regional chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management Association.


Mesa West Capital, a Los Angeles-based real estate capital provider and finance company, has hired Ryan Krauch as a principal. Krauch most recently served as a management executive for Somera Capital Management, a real estate firm.


J. Michael Lynch was appointed chief investment officer of West Los Angeles-based Arden Realty Inc. Lynch previously served as senior vice president of investments for Equity Office Properties.



Technology

Gamma Enterprise Technologies, a global provider of application data management software, has appointed Donn Atkins, Brian Garrett and James Mobley as board members. Atkins was previously a general manager at IBM global Business Partners. Garrett was a partner at Southern California-based Palomar Ventures. Mobley was most recently was chief executive of Intrusic Corp.
