Sitrick and Co. has promoted Anne DeWolfe to senior vice president. In her new position, DeWolfe will supervise accounts in corporate, litigation support, transactional and crisis management areas. Sitrick and Co. is a Los Angeles-based strategic communications firm.
Banking & Finance
Robert E. Hart has joined Heitman Financial Ltd.’s Los Angeles office as vice president of the special projects group. Hart comes to Heitman from Executive Life Insurance Co. Enhancement Trusts, where he served as director of real estate marketing. Heitman is a national full-service real estate investment firm.
Imperial Bancorp has appointed Christine M. McCarthy executive vice president and chief financial officer of Imperial Bancorp and its subsidiary, Imperial Bank. McCarthy served as executive vice president of finance at First Interstate Bancorp before joining Imperial.
City National Bank has appointed Janice Geringer vice president and manager for the bank’s main office in Beverly Hills. Geringer has been a vice president with the bank for the past seven years and most recently served as manager of the bank’s Westwood office. Her new responsibilities include management of all bank services.
John Gernert has been named vice president of finance for Calabasas-based VPA Inc. Gernert joins VPA from System Property Development Co., where he served as treasurer and corporate secretary. VPA is an independent self-insurance disability administrator.
Entertainment
Lakeshore International has named Mimi Steinbauer vice president of international television sales. Steinbauer previously served as vice president of international television for Trimark Television. Lakeshore also promoted Stephanie Denton to vice president of international film sales. Denton previously worked at Trans Atlantic Entertainment as director of international sales.
Roger Kirman has joined Big Ticket Television as senior vice president of business affairs. Prior to joining Big Ticket, Kirman served as senior vice president of business affairs for Viacom Productions. Big Ticket is a subsidiary of Spelling Entertainment Group.
Beacon Communications has promoted Cindy McWethy to vice president of finance. McWethy previously served as controller for the film and television production company. She will be responsible for all aspects of accounting for Beacon and its subsidiaries.
Digital Theater Systems has named Dan Slusser as vice chairman and chief executive officer. Prior to joining DTS, Slusser served as vice president of MCA Inc., senior vice president and general manager of Universal City Studios Inc. and chairman of the Universal Facilities rental division.
Mel Jones has been promoted to vice president of planning for Universal Music Group. Jones will oversee the business and financial planning process, including annual plans and quarterly forecasts. Prior to joining Universal Music, Jones served as systems project manager at Nestle Foods.
Health Care
CIGNA HealthCare has named Bud Volberding senior vice president of West Coast operations. Volberding will oversee management of Glendale-based CIGNA’s California, Oregon and Washington markets. He most recently served as president and chief executive officer of United HealthCare of California.
High-Tech/Aerospace
Northrop Grumman has appointed Kenneth L. Mars as corporate vice president of internal audit. Mars will be responsible for managing the audit function at Northrop’s five operating divisions. Mars served as corporate director of accounting at Northrop prior to the promotion.
Jim Albaugh has been named president of the Rocketdyne Division of Boeing North American Inc. Albaugh will direct the Energy Technology Engineering Center and the division’s diverse high-technology activities. He had held management positions at Boeing’s Automatics Autonetics Systems Division and at its Defense Electronic Businesses unit before joining the company’s Rocketdyne Division.

Bert C. Hensley has been named vice president of the Los Angeles office of Korn/Ferry International. Hensley focuses on professional services, retail and manufacturing companies. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mensley was a general partner of Meridian Strategies Inc.
Pacific Search Group Inc. has named Nick Roberts president of the Los Angeles-based recruitment firm. Roberts previously served as president and founder of Spectrum Search Associates. Pacific Search specializes in the recruitment of accounting and financial personnel.
Real Estate
PM Realty Group has promoted James A. Proehl to senior vice president of management services for the Southern California region. Proehl will be responsible for the operation of properties in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.
Cushman & Wakefield Inc. has promoted Bradley T. Cox to senior managing director of client services in the Pacific Southwest area. Cox had previously served as director of C & W;’s agency leasing group. Prior to joining C & W;, Cox served as vice president of MS Management Service.
Kim Dorsey has joined Lincoln Property Co. as senior property manager for the Los Angeles region. Dorsey served as a senior manager at Insignia Commercial Group prior to joining Lincoln. Keith Cook has been named assistant vice president of construction for Lincoln Property Co. Prior to joining Lincoln, Cook served as director of construction with the William Lyon Property Management Co. and as vice president of operations at Pacesetter Business Properties.
E.J. Remson has joined West Los Angeles-based Champion Development Group as vice president. Remson previously served as planning administrator for the City of Pasadena. Champion is a retail center developer.
Julien J. Studley Inc. has promoted Jeffrey L. Cowan to managing director of the Los Angeles office. Cowan served as a leasing specialist with Grubb & Ellis prior to joining Studley. Also at Studley, Mike Catalano was promoted to associate director. Catalano focuses on tenant representation and works with clients throughout the Los Angeles area.
Tourism
Steve Post has joined Brown Hotel Group Inc. as vice president. Post will represent buyers and sellers of hotels in Southern California for the Westlake Village-based firm. Prior to joining Brown, Post was general manager of the Hotel Oceana in Santa Monica.
