Connie Brown has spent 20 years climbing the corporate ladder, but with each step she continued to think about forming her own marketing firm.

This month, the former national marketing director for Loeb & Loeb LLP finally turned her dream into reality.

She has just started her own company Connie Brown Marketing Group which will focus on consulting and training services for businesses throughout Los Angeles County.

“This has always been a dream for me when I was working for other people,” she said. “Like many professional women, I see owning my own business as a way to reach my full business potential. In California particularly, women-owned businesses are flourishing.”

The new firm will concentrate within service industries including law, accounting, publishing and insurance. Brown plans to do target marketing for her clients, focusing public relations and advertising campaigns to a specific audience, she said.

At Loeb & Loeb, Brown was responsible for launching marketing campaigns nationwide to promote the law firm. There she focused on positioning the firm in the entertainment and high-technology marketplace.

Prior to that, she was director of marketing for the entertainment law firm of Greenberg, Glusker, Fields, Claman & Machtinger.

In addition, she was honored as one of the Century City Chamber of Commerce’s “Women of Achievement” in 1996. She has served on the chamber’s board of directors since 1993.

The new firm will be based in Rancho Palos Verdes.
