Michael Konetzke is regional business unit leader for Southern California for DPR Construction. He has been with the 28-year-old firm since 1993. Some of DPR’s projects in Southern California include the renovation of the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu; the 91,000 square feet of expanded classroom and student housing space at the Otis College of Art and Design campus in Westchester; and a 16,000-square-foot addition to the Huntington Library in San Marino for the Lois & Robert F. Erburu Gallery. The Otis College project, which also included 7,500 square feet of landscape design, received two awards in 2017: the Southern California Development Forum Design Award Winner in Education; and the SCUP Excellence Award from the Society for College and University Planning. Konetzke holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Texas A&M University.
