Solving Traffic Nightmare
In regard to “Commuter’s New Nightmare” (May 31), there is one good idea for solving traffic problem not addressed in your story. The Ueberroth plan for the 1984 Olympics was proven to be effective: stagger all working hours in the whole metropolitan area and reduce freeway use to stages, a.m. and p.m. What a shocking idea!
It worked beautifully then, it would do the same now.
