Department-store operator Macy’s Inc. said Thursday that it will close underperforming stores in Los Angeles and 10 other cities and lowered its forecast for the fourth quarter after one of the weakest holiday seasons in years.
Stores slated to close include the 135,000-square-foot location in Los Angeles’ Ernst & Young Plaza, 735 S. Figueroa St. About 135 people work at the store, which opened in 1986.
