Who Needs Wachs?
I read your story “Is It Ninth Inning for L.A. Sports?” (Sept. 1) with interest. Clearly City Councilman Joel Wachs doesn’t embrace the concept of representative democracy. If he doesn’t think his role is to exercise judgment on behalf of his constituents, perhaps he should resign from the council. If we vote on everything, who needs a city council at all?
