Not much changed for the top five radio stations in Los Angeles as KIIS FM (102.7) held onto its top spot, according to March rankings from Arbitron Inc. released on its Web site Thursday.
Clear Channel Communications Inc.-owned KIIS was the top station in Los Angeles with 5.2 percent of the listener share. News-talk station KFI AM (640) took the number two spot from classic hits station KRTH FM (101.1). KFI claimed 4.5 percent of listener share; KRTH took 4.3 percent.
Adult contemporary station KOST FM (103.5) and Latin pop station KLVE FM (107.5) rounded out the top five.
CBS Corp.-owned KLSX FM (97.1) continued to reap the benefits of flipping formats from talk to Top 40 music, pulling in 3.2 percent listener share and tying for 11th place. Before flipping formats, KLSX took in about 2 percent of listener share.
KMVN FM (93.9), which Ennis Communications Corp. recently flipped to Spanish language, was ranked 22nd with 1.9 percent listener share. The station was formerly an adult contemporary station featuring well-known disc jockey Rick Dees.
